Last Saturday Logan played his first ever soccer game. Or games...they played three mini-games, beginning with a 20 minute practice prior to the start of the first game.
Logan has had pretty limited experience with soccer. He did a four-day camp earlier in the spring, where he learned a lot of terminology and drills. He liked doing the drills. However, they never really focused much on how to play the game, with the exception of not using your hands. He had one practice last week (there's going to be very few practices) and it was mostly stuff he did in the soccer camp. He was confused at times because the coach used some different terms than the coach at the camp.
Anyway....game day....well, he didn't do much. He ran along with the other kids, but never really tried to get the ball or score a goal. In fact, he would sort of veer away when the other kids would run at him. And...he's bigger than most of the kids out there. It was also really hot that day, and that didn't help.
Here's some pics of game day!
